Hosted by Students, for Students
May 31, 2025, 50 Springside Rd
Dear Esteemed Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Guests,
It is with great pride and excitement that we welcome you to MHSCRISIS 2025, Maple High School’s first-ever crisis-exclusive Model UN conference. As Co-Secretary Generals, we have had the privilege of witnessing the rapid growth of Maple MUN, from its early days to hosting MHSMUN 2024 II, and now expanding into the dynamic world of crisis committees.
MHSCRISIS 2025 is the culmination of the dedication, passion, and hard work of our staff, executive team, and delegates. What began as a small, ambitious club has now evolved into one of the most innovative and driven MUN communities in the GTA. This conference is a testament to the countless hours of preparation, collaboration, and ambition that have gone into making it a reality.
Crisis committees bring unparalleled intensity, strategic thinking, and unpredictability, demanding quick adaptation and creative problem-solving. MHSCRISIS 2025 challenges you to embrace the unknown, navigate high-stakes decision-making, and push your leadership skills to their limits. Whether you are forging alliances, making split-second directives, or rewriting history, this conference will test and refine your abilities like never before.
None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our faculty, executive team, and Secretariat, whose tireless efforts ensure that this conference is both immersive and unforgettable. To our incoming delegates, we hope MHSCRISIS 2025 will ignite your passion for diplomacy, negotiation, and leadership.
We cannot wait to see the chaos, strategy, and diplomacy unfold. Welcome to MHSCRISIS 2025—where the future is in your hands.
Sincerely,
Abraar Hussain (he/him) & Kavya Dalal (she/her)

Maple High School Model United Nations 2025
Dear Esteemed Delegates, Staff, and Faculty Advisors,
My name is Mansi Shah, your Director-General, and it is with great honor and passion as I welcome you all to the first iteration of Maple High School Model United Nations Crisis located in the heart of Vaughan, so be sure to book your calendars for May 31st 2025. MHSCrisis is one of its kind, one filled with networking, diplomacy, and teamwork. My biggest priority is providing you all with a whirlwind of opportunities ensuring you succeed in an inclusive and thrilling environment where each and every delegate is safe, respected, and most importantly, heard. This year, MHSCrisis brings you to 6 different types of crisis debates that range from beginner, intermediate, to advanced, suitable for any delegate whether they are a MUN veteran or venturing into our MUN community!
Uniquely, I discovered MUN after a Netflix show and little did I know, I fell in love with the community. The experiences of being a delegate has taught me adroitness and appreciation in which I am beyond grateful to have learned and forever cherish. I am indebted for the experiences at MUN where I got to enhance my public speaking skills, network, and boost my confidence. Outside of Model UN, I enjoy broadening my horizons whether that be photography, English Literature, sports, or travelling. Beyond all, I believe in giving back to my community by volunteering at smart-care hospitals, competitions, and charity-based events. Above all, I value adventure and creativity, always willing to take on challenges with an optimistic mindset. I aspire MUN to be a passion where individuals can voice their heart and advocate for the right on a global scale. It is my aspiration to make MHSCrisis rewarding and amusing, one yet to forget.
I have grown to make a soft spot for Model UN and cherish all these memories in my heart whether that was working on my position paper the night before the conference or fighting for a sponsorship. Regardless, every conference, every speech, and every adventure has encouraged me to grow and step outside of my comfort zone, and I wish the same for you all.
To all delegates, I look forward to meeting you and have high hopes that MHSCrisis will provide sagacious opportunities for you to grow and thrive in all ways possible. We challenge delegates to conduct comprehensive research and confront the topics with delicacy and open-mindedness. I am positive you all will have the golden opportunity to learn, diversify, and grow as both an individual and delegate.
Ultimately, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the tremendous efforts of all staff and faculty — you all have been vigorously working and your efforts have played a pivotal role to ensure the success of MHSCrisis. This conference will forever hold a special place in our MUN experiences and we could not have done it without you. Your enthusiasm and support was truly inspiring and I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. On behalf of all who bring MHSCrisis 2025 to fruition, I guarantee that this experience will be one you delegates to continue to cherish well into your futures.
